What does this job cost?

€120 for the job itself, plus the €65 visit fee that is charged once per booking — so €185 if it is the only thing on the visit. Add a second job to the same visit and you pay the visit once, not twice. Every price includes 21% BTW.

Do you charge call-out costs?

Not on top. The €65 visit fee is the call-out, and we show it instead of burying it inside the job price. Travel, parking, the ladder and the test equipment take the best part of an hour before any work starts, and every trade charges for that somewhere. Ours is charged once per booking, however many jobs are on it.

Do you charge by the hour?

No. Every job on this site has a fixed price, agreed before we arrive. A job that takes longer than expected costs you the same. That is the whole point — the total you see when you book is the total on the invoice.

Can the price change once you are here?

Accepted Answer

Only if the job turns out to be one of the conditions we publish on the homepage — no wiring point where you want the fixture, a fixture over roughly 5 kg, a new group needed in the meterkast, or new ducting. If one of those is there, you get a fixed price for the difference before anything starts, and you can say no.

Who actually does the work?

Mark, a qualified Dutch electrician, does all electrical work personally, following applicable Dutch standards including NEN 1010. Handyman jobs are done by us too — there is no subcontracting and nobody you have not been told about turns up at your door.

Do you speak English?

Accepted Answer

Yes — the booking, the questions, the work itself and the invoice afterwards are all in English. Dutch is fine too.

Question 7

When can you come?

Accepted Answer

Weekday evenings between 18:00 and 21:00, and weekends between 09:00 and 17:00, across Amsterdam. Send your jobs and a preferred slot on WhatsApp and you get a confirmation within 24 hours.

Question 8

When and how do I pay?

Accepted Answer

After the work is done and tested with you — not before. You pay by iDEAL or card and the invoice follows. No account, no deposit.

Question 9

Do you work outside Amsterdam?

Accepted Answer

Yes, with a €40 surcharge on the visit, because the travel is longer. Inside Amsterdam the travel is already covered by the visit fee.

Question 10

Do I need to buy the install a cooker hood myself?

Accepted Answer

Yes — the lamp, bracket, rail, socket or furniture is yours to choose and buy, and we fit what you have. Standard screws, wall plugs and connectors are included. Anything we have to fetch is passed on at what it cost, with the receipt.
